XOXO’s from the Runner Girls

So Saturday was Valentine’s Day.  But in Runner Girl Land – it was just another Saturday :)  For three RG’s it was race day!!

RG’s Amy and Tina each won division awards at the Singles Dash, even if one was a bit unexpected!

Our other RG Amy PR’d her Run for Love 5K!!!  And was so excited to be there to watch her dad and niece also complete their first race, powering through some bitter cold and nasty winds.

For those of us not racing Saturday, it was just another coffee date.  Our training plan hasn’t hit high mileage yet, but it was a long run day which ended up being 6 miles for most then off to family or kid activities.

One sweet RG made this for our favorite baristas!

Our funny Valentine

These two had to squeeze in their workouts around a gymnastics meet, but that also meant they got to spend Valentines Day together, with their gymnasts.  It is still unclear how their husbands escaped this outing :)

Hope you were able to spread some love this weekend!

Did you run on Saturday?  How far?

Do you have any fun family Valentine Day traditions?  Mine involves heart-shaped doughnuts!

Saturday running and coffee are great. I enjoyed my Valentine date with Jen and our gymnast.

I saw those donuts and I was jealous! I did paper hearts on the kids doors to their rooms this year. I wrote things I loved about each of them on them. They loved it. We also did heart shaped cinnamon rolls, yum :)

I love the idea of making homemade Valentine’s for the kids – may have to tuck that idea away for next year :)
