Outta Town Dash Around Recap

One of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions has to be the Outta Town Dash Around each year!  The Indy Drumstick Dash hosts an actual 2.75 or 4.5 mile run on Thanksgiving morning and draws a great crowd.  Tandy and her family were in Broad Ripple for the festivities!

They also offer the Outta Town Dash for anyone who isn’t able to attend Thursday morning but still wants to join the fun – the race shirts are mailed out the week before the race and participants are encouraged to post pictures from around the world … yes, the World! … of their “race” day.  This year, over 19,000 people from 46 states and several countriesmoved their feet so others could eat” between these two races.

Some of us ran on Thanksgiving Eve since we were traveling or hosting the next day.

Don’t forget the kids!  It’s never too early to start speed drills!

The Thanksgiving morning crew!

On Black Friday, it was time to #OptOutside.

Did you brave the Black Friday crowds or are you more of a Cyber Monday person?  CYBER MONDAY all the way!

Favorite Thanksgiving food?  Sorta love it all, but if I had to pick one (or two) it would be my sweet potato casserole and pumpkin pie … oh, and deviled eggs and apple crisp!  All things that I really only have at Thanksgiving and Christmas :)

Linking up with Amanda today for another fun edition of Thinking Out Loud Thursday!

Now I want apple crisp ;)

I just ate the very last bit for breakfast :) Yes, for breakfast!

  2. That’s such a great tradition, and I love that the kids can get involved too! And I’m definitely more of a Cyber Monday kind of girl. The crazy crowds are a little bit too much for me, and I’d rather score great deals from home :D
