So you may have heard there’s a football game today. On any given Sunday, I am glued to the TV to watch my favorite teams. Except my Colts lost to that other team 2 weeks ago in the game better known now as “Deflate-gate” and I am still in denial.
Luckily yesterday was a long run day in our training group, so we had a little fun with it! Weekend runs are always tricky because we are constantly trying to schedule around our kids’ activities. Yesterday was no different, as we ended up running in the afternoon to accommodate early morning basketball games and Girl Scout cookie sorting! We met at a local park to switch up our route and enjoy the scenery for a quick 5.5 miles. We ended up averaging a faster mile/minute than expected … and I’ll admit to complaining about the pace the entire time!
However, our faster pace meant we finished in under an hour and had time for some crazy playground pictures. It also meant minimal time away from my precious family. From the minute I pulled out of the garage to the minute I walked in my back door, I was gone less than 90 minutes. I’m not sure my husband or kids even remembered I had gone out until I returned in sweaty running clothes.
Hope you had a Super RunDay this weekend too! Share your photos and/or mileage on our Facebook or Twitter pages!
