Indiana Sand

Just another morning run in the Indiana sand.

(I can’t take credit for that phrase, one of the other Runner Girls came up with it the other day, but I love it so I’m borrowing it!)

This was our view this morning – I actually enjoy running in freshly fallen snow.  It’s crazy hard and usually very cold, but so pretty!!

Thankfully two pair of pants, three layers on top, fleece hat plus ear warmer and my favorite scarf kept me pretty warm!  Unfortunately, Summer only wore one pair of pants….talk about freezing your butt off 🙂

Such a peaceful quiet!  No noise to compete with good conversation 🙂  We really wanted a snowy shadow picture, but it just wasn’t meant to be.

Nothing screams “addicted to coffee” like a cold, snowy dark-thirty run.

Speaking of coffee…this was from 2 years ago, but still one of our favorite winter running memories 🙂

Thank you 🙂 I’m hoping it will keep me from complaining as much in the heat of the summer!

Brook, I am seriously thinking about putting on a second pair of pants while at home today too…sub zero temps are not my thing! Stay warm!

Lindsey and I discovered the added benefit to the Indiana sand….sore hamstrings! Worth it!

Sore hamstrings, calves and core! What a great workout without lifting a weight!
