Drumroll, please…

Now that you know a little bit about me, it’s time I make some overdue introductions!

Friends, these are my Runner Girls!

Clearly, these are from our Christmas run last month – which we had an impressive 21 Runner Girls participate in our Rudolph-themed costume contest entry!

The year before, we all showed up in matching footed Christmas pajamas (simply because we thought it would be funny!) completely unaware that there even was a costume contest until we arrived.  When we discovered there was one, we entered and won …  because what’s funnier than 11 adult women in matching footed pajamas, really?

So this year we started with 9 reindeer, including Rudolph, then kept adding characters as others decided to join in the fun!

Santa and Mrs. Claus were next (though sadly, Mrs. Claus got sick the day before the race).  Of course our resident Runner Girl dentist Amy had to be Hermey the Elf turned dentist and RG Annette used her supermodel stature to become the Abominable Snow Monster.

She even brought Yukon Cornelius along for the festivities.

Some of the girls ran the 5K and some of us {tried to} run the 10k … it is possible that we made a wrong turn on the course and followed the 5K crowd back when we should have kept going to complete the 10K course!

What a fantastic day!  We came in 2nd in the costume contest to some very deserving Sugar Plum Fairies and did our part to spread a little Christmas cheer all along the way!
